Taking over the world, one earth eating trophy at a time —

For our second-ever championship, the tour took us to İstanbul, Turkey. We hedged our bets and brought our pros into our animated projects, and in return our pros became actors for the live action work. This was The Year of the Fearless, and after kicking off the year with a nightmare-fueled campaign, we closed it out with a CTA to FEAR / NONE.

"...It's mad rewarding to work on VCT. Esports isn't brushed under the rug it's actively championed."

This campaign was also the first time we had actually properly brought pros likenesses into the work. Up until this point, we typically would defer likeness for an "audience avatar" instead ( a fictional character ). Reason being it was, and still is incredibly difficult to predict which pros will be relevant by the time a campaign goes live. Campaigns have to start production up to 9 months in advance of their live date, and with a sport like the VCT, every selection is a hedged bet. Thankfully, we pulled it off and reimagined three of our pros with agent-inspired effects.
