Finding new perspectives is central to my design process. I particularly love the design research process because I can explore any subject—be it history, pop culture, or social issues—and present it in new, unconventional, and memorable ways.
Lindsay Rambo
I would describe my style as one that challenges expectations, flipping the conventional approach to a project. I often enjoy incorporating diverse mediums to enrich the storytelling aspect of my work, creating a more dynamic and immersive experience. My graphic design style aligns closely with the theme of “point of view,” as I draw on my own unique perspective and personal experiences to shape both my approach and the final results.
Mia Cornali
I think the style changes with every project, but in each one I love to tell a story and have the viewer experience something as the move through it. I think it’s super cool when you open a magazine or a package and there’s little elements that connect each piece throughout. I think each person views design differently and that’s what makes it exciting. I found that throughout this program, my work and process has always been different than everyone else’s, which I think shows that we all have different point of views.
Eden Balog
I would describe my graphic design style as very maximalist. I love adding experimental touches if I can, and playing around with colors. My projects either lean super cutesy, fun, and bright, or super moody, I think it depends on both my mood and the brief! Even though I do have a style, I think it really adapts to each project and tries to match the tone while still feeling like me. It definitely takes practice to see things in new ways to try to create unique concepts, but I think this program has prepared me well to take a new POV.
Colette Albertson
A lot of my style gets influenced by the brief at hand, but I enjoy a playful yet chic feel overall. Fashion is a huge style inspiration for me, and I find it particularly interesting how a concepts can be styled and portrayed in fashion. I love researching and finding perspectives with which I can approach a project that aligns with the brief. Those cool connections and choices drive my design to create a wonderful piece!
Eli McArthur
A lot of my projects are heavily inspired by my hobbies and mentality - but I think by getting to know me as a person it makes my style more clear to how I design. I would descibe my style to be high contrast, Bold, moody

My work connects with POV as it’s sort of in a variety of perspectives. My style is based off of the things I enjoy such as fitness, gym, cinema, fiction. It’s best described as not having a specific trope.

My style of graphic design is more experimental. I love designing typography in ways that is unconventional. When using a more experimental style you have to use a different point of view when matching the outlandish design to the concept. Sometimes the design takes form in a less literal sense and that’s where you have to switch your point of view to align the design back to the concept.

My graphic design style connects to the theme ‘Point of View’ because I am able to switch my view point very drastically to either side of my style. I have two different styles that I switch between depending on what the project is and where it may lead me. I can go more edgy and mysterious with my designs, or very bubbly and energetic with exaggerated colors and elements.
Bella Everett
I would describe my visual style as dark, unsettling, and ironic. I really like playing with humor in my work and being a visual storyteller helps me to convey a message to my audience. I really like ellaborate storytelling with lots of little easter eggs and mysteries going throughout the image/video/animation,etc. I would say my style connects to the theme Point of View by being MY unique POV. I believe everyone has something to say, and only that person can say it. By trying to be anyone else would be a disservice to yourself and to the world. That’s what I believe art is- your Point of View.

I would describe my style as bold! I love using bright colors and trying to be experimental in my designs. I love how fun and quirky POV’s branding is, and I think it mirrors my style pretty closely, with the bright colors and fun photography!
Krona Xiao
I like simple things and illustrations, and I also like things that attract attention to a certain extent (wacky and entertaining). I really like to bury Easter eggs in various works, although most of the time, if I don’t explain it, no one will be able to find it.

I would describe my style as being very fluid. I tend to adapt to each project I’m doing, whether it be individual where I get the most creative freedom or a group project where I must balance my work with others. I like to be experimental and not stick to the same style or vibe for every project, though I do try to make all my designs bold and expressive. I also just love to have a meaning or story behind every design I create no matter how big or small it may be.

I would say I enjoy futurism and working with stuff that is more bold and experimental. I think that I take in a lot of different styles and ideas when I work on a project, so you could say I use a lot of perspectives.
Madison Laufer
My graphic design style is all about branding and marketing with intent and purpose. I strive to create designs that not only look good but also encourage interaction and engagement. I lean towards minimalism in color and design, focusing on creating visuals that prompt viewers to think and feel. Keeping the audience in mind is essential to my process, as I want my work to inform and inspire thoughtful reactions.
Emma Cohen
I like to be fun and playful but also push myself out of my comfort zone and try new styles rather than sticking to one. I think being experimental and trying new things is important to grow as a designer. My style connects to the theme POV because I consider different perspectives when tackling each project to properly target my respective audience.
Will Welsh
Finding creative and exciting ways to express new ideas through the things that I love is my favorite part about what we do. I love the outdoors, history, music, and animation, so I enjoy drawing inspiration from these things. With each project, I try to bring out meaningful interactions with my audience because in my opinion that is what being creative is all about. I enjoy taking on deep concepts that challenge the human mind, exploring why we think the way we do and what the result of that is.
Jon Petersen
Using photography, organic colors, shapes and typography has been a staple of my designs and with each new project, I try to challenge myself by combining the sharpness of modernism with the vividness of naturalism while also covering a sustainability goal or two in the process. My style is connected through how I see our environment and wildlife versus how others do. I believe conservation education is so important; it’s all about how you see it and when you finally decide to change your perspective, you’ll be blown away with what you experience.

My graphic design style is centered around typography and branding, and I love using my work to express my eagerness to learn and inspire change. My design style has changed throughout the years, and I’ve gained so many new perspectives on both design and life. Every new piece of work I create is a culmination of where I am currently, both as a person and as a designer!
